Prace uczniów - Escher like tessellations

A tessellation is created when a shape (or polygon) is repeated over and over on a surface (or plane) with no empty areas or overlaps in the arrangement. Squares, triangles, rectangles, and hexagons can be repeated like tiles on a surface to create a tessellation. Tessellations provide an opportunity to build a bridge between art and mathematics. During the Art lesson the students from the second grade identify and appreciate the work of M. C. Escher, construct a tessellation and created an Escher-style tessellation using an equilateral triangle with rotations. They created their own tessellation by first making a shape tracer that can be repeated over and over and over again. It technically could go on forever.

Pierwsza wideokonferencja między uczniami / First videoconferecne between the students

Dziś wieczorem odbyła się pierwsza z trzech zaplanowanych wideokonferencji. Wzięli w niej udział uczniowie, którzy już w kwietniu odwiedzą szkołę hiszpańską w wizycie Priego de Córdoba. Kolejne takie spotkanie już w przyszłym tygodniu.

Wideokonferencja nauczycieli / Videoconference between the teachers

W dniu dzisiejszym odbyła się kolejna wideokonferencja między nauczycielami ze szkół partnerskich zaangażowanych w projekt. Celem spotkania było ustalenie terminu wideokonferencji między uczniami, którzy będą uczestniczyć w spotkaniu w Hiszpanii, omówienie kolejnych etapów realizacji projektu m.in. pracy w międzynarodowych grupach.
